“Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance.” – Roy T. Bennet

Monroe

What was I

When I was living?

A symbol

Of something dirty

Everyone craved it

Nobody liked it

Once they got there

I was there

I was dressed in white

That turned black

I made a world

I hated

Outside I seemed fine

But inside

Inside I was breaking

I was broken

I smiled

Of course it was fake

That was the last

Because three is

A magic number

I knew it

They knew it

I was there
