It’s Really, Really Cold Here!

Yes, yes, I know. Earlier I said is was sinfully hot (but in different words), but now, I’m wearing socks, sweats, and jackets to bed. It is FREEZING! And the rain, oh, all this rain! I love it! Haha! I am full of contradictions! But so is the weather, and so is life. If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em, right?

The Tarantula’s in the Peanut Butter

Today as I was making my hot chocolate, my brother happened to be reaching for something behind the shelf, and felt an oddly furry thing touch his hand. When he looked to see what it was, he found a medium-sized tarantula hiding there in the corner.  While this is not the first one we have seen here, it is the first we have seen on the INSIDE of the house. It’s a good thing my mother wasn’t there at the time.

Well, anyway, as Josh held the plastic, just-emptied, peanut butter container (as this was right after lunch) on one side of the shelf, I had a stuffed monkey puppet on my hand coaxing the spider into the sticky container. We had a nice surprise for my parents when they got home. 🙂
